Physical activity plays a large roll in our overall heath and you would have heard Dr Jade or Dr Andrew discuss with you the importance of going for a walk after your adjustment.
Physical activity helps strengthen the postural muscles in your spine.
There are a variety of different levels to exercise and getting started can seem scary. Instead of dismissing it as too hard, try walking for 30 minutes, 5 days per week. This has been proven not just to improve your cardiovascular health (Shoenfeld, 1980), it also has a variety of other health benefits, including helping lower depression! (Robertson, Robertson, Jepson & Maxwell, 2012)
If you feel like you want to start tackling more intense workouts at the gym, start slow, your posture when you exercise is extremely important.
Some of our patients see us because they notice a difference in their strength from one side to the other, this can be a nerve problem. If you think this could be you, please give us a call today and we will conduct a thorough investigate and determine if one exists and help you get the most out of your body.
